Retirement Living -- Your Passport to Retirement

Through UNLV Educational Outreach, we offer the seminar, "Retirement Living -- Your Passport To Retirement" in locations around the Las Vegas Valley. It is a two session course with an optional third session. UNLV charges $59 in tuition, payable to the UNLV Board of Regents. For that tuition, participants receive a thick four-color workbook, chock full of research statistics, self-graded quizzes, charts, self-guided work sheets, case studies, investment contrasts and comparisons, and additional financial resources for future reference.

The seminar leader walks participants through the retirement life cycle, from the inception of retirement thoughts to the choices available and to the firm financial decisions that help your retirement dollars multiply. This is your "how-to" guide for financial success. Here are the seven how-to's:

  • How to define and create your retirement
  • How to assess the costs
  • How to evaluate your sources of income to set retirement goals
  • How to invest for the future
  • How to protect your health and wealth
  • How to receive distributions from your plans and avoid tax liabilities
  • How to make choices and manage your entire estate distribution

All paying students are invited to bring a guest -- a spouse, a neighbor, anyone.
